The corpse of an Orca whale was found washed-up on the Lincolnshire coast last week. Tests are still being carried out to establish the exact cause of death, however, it has been reported that the whale’s stomach contained no fish – just plastic!
This is an incredibly sad example of how plastic and rubbish is taking over our oceans. Many of our clients want to invest in a way that promotes the use of more ecologically sensible materials and practices. This feeds into our ‘Pro-Ethical’ portfolio decisions. However, we believe that we should go further than this.
In May 2019, we undertook our first beach clean at Newgale beach. The weather was gorgeous and it was great to travel out of the office and get some fresh air whilst doing our bit to help clean one of our local beaches. Although this contribution may have seemed small, we managed to collect over five bin bags of rubbish in just two hours!
We have decided to return to Newgale again this coming May the 13th and we would love it if you would be free to join us. Last year we were joined by two lovely clients who really made our day and they both said how much they enjoyed the experience.
If you think you would like to don some rubber gloves and join us for a few hours on the 13th of May, please could you email [email protected] so she can send you the logistics nearer the time.
Our very best wishes and sincere thanks
