As many of our clients will know, Beth joined us from the NHS in 2020 with no experience in financial services at all. Beth is an extremely organised mother of two who expertly balances her life commitments and has been a real asset to our T&T team.
Beth looks after some 70 of our treasured clients today and is fully qualified.
However, she has been inspired to keep plugging away at the advanced exams to take her towards that much coveted ‘Chartered’ status. This has been something that we have provided her paid time towards – but she has also had to study around work and home requirements.
Having already started to gather the advanced exams needed towards Chartered; Beth decided that it was time to tackle the J10 paper from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). This paper is not for the feint hearted! I still remember doing it myself and honestly it was one of the hardest papers that I ever faced.
Beth was tested on her understanding of many complex financial instruments, how they are taxed and regulated as well as dozens of mathematical formula calculations ranging from Standard Deviation to Gordon’s Growth Model!
We received the fabulous news last night that Beth had passed this two-hour exam – and by some comfortable margin I might add!
Beth is now more than half way towards that Chartered status and we wish her every success as she continues her journey. In the meantime, scooping up such a valuable standalone Discretionary Management qualification is really a massive boost for Thomas and Thomas and a credit to Beth.
Many congratulations to you Beth! Enjoy the Toblerone over the weekend!
