It has been hard to see any positive news in the financial world as we have watched markets tip ever downward over the past couple of weeks. To this end it was a welcome boost to hear that our trainee Financial Planner Katy has passed yet another important exam.
Our heartiest congratulations to Katy who tackled the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Diploma Module R05 ‘Financial Protection’ paper.
This is Katy’s fourth exam pass since January. She is now well on her way to completing all six of the grueling examinations needed to build the Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning.
The ‘Financial Protection’ module requires candidates to demonstrate an understanding of the different types of protection contracts available. This includes how they are implemented and taxed. Katy was rigorously tested on her ability to analyze the main features, functions and scope of different contracts used within a financial plan in order to meet client’s protection needs.
Katy dedicated the majority of her summer to this exam and is thrilled to have conquered another one. ‘I feel that I have come such a long way in such a short space of time’ said Katy as she waved her results in the air. She will now swiftly move on to the pension planning paper, which she hopes to complete by the end of the year.
As our clients are well aware, at Thomas and Thomas we feel that Qualifications and knowledge are vital for the success and progression of our business.Well done Katy.
