Calling all Ethical Investors! Come to the 2023 ‘Good News’ Masterclass!

On the morning of the 6th of July this year, we shall be holding our legendary annual masterclass client event.

Firstly, let’s just dispel any myths – the word ‘masterclass’ sounds a bit complicated and boring!

In truth, our annual client event is a hugely entertaining way to spend a few hours of your summer. We always have a great variety of presentations to help our treasured clients understand a bit more about their portfolio and financial plan in a light hearted and fun way – all in the comfort of Avallenau House.  We also feed them ridiculous amounts of food!

Secondly, let’s face facts – it’s been such a gloomy few years with nothing but bad news and worry.

So we have decided to really change this years’ masterclass. Instead of talking Inheritance Tax, past performance and Investment products – this year we are going to tell you about some of the really good things that your investments are supporting.

Why not join us and hear about some specific ‘good news stories’ relevant to our Ethical Portfolios.  We will also be joined by Pete Tennick from Harris Basset Accountants who will be sharing ways to make the most of Gift Aid as well as a key speaker from Sarasin Investment House, who will share their current view on market movements and more positive news about the impact their funds are having on society and the environment.

This year we have gone overboard! We have spent considerable time speaking with some of our clients, finding out about local charities that are really making a positive impact in our county. We then whittled our shortlist down to two incredible local charities who will also be coming to present to you!

We will be joined by PATH (Pembrokeshire Action for The Homeless) who will be sharing some of the progress that they are making in helping to combat poverty and poor mental health on our streets; as well as Sea Trust Wales who will be sharing some of their work in cleaning up our coastline and even recycling fishing tackle!

I shall give my usual Portfolio Updates section and we will seek to fill you to bursting with coffee, cakes and lunch!

The entire event is free for our clients – but there are only a very limited number of spaces – so you need to let us know NOW if you would like to be on the attendee list.

This masterclass will really suit Ethical investors who are looking to find out more about the positive impact their money is making and those who are seeking to find out more about some of the fantastic social and environmental initiatives being run by very dedicated folk in Pembrokeshire.

We always run our event on a ‘first to put your name down’ basis and we will announce when we are full.

My very best wishes as ever. Darren
