Huge congratulations to our Teleri who has just passed the Financial Services and Ethics Paper from the LIBF (London Institute of Banking and Finance).
This was not an easy exam and Tel spent the past six months intensely studying FCA regulations, policies and reasoning. Her knowlege was tested in areas such as Fiscal and Monetary Policy, Regulators powers and implementation and all the things that Financially Regulated Firms have to adhere to.
Tel passed the two hour exam on Friday and was absolutely delighted, commenting: ‘It was worth all the hours of study but I am really looking forward to starting on a new topic now!’
Tel is working towards her Diploma in Financial Planning which will enable her to offer Financial Advice to clients. With two units now passed, Tel has four to go. Keep going Tel – you can do it!
At Thomas and Thomas, we believe that investing in our knowledge and team is the best thing we can do for our much treasured clients. A recent report shows that around 1,000 small IFA firms have closed down in the past few years – this presents less and less opportunity for young Post Graduates like Tel to forge a career in Financial Planning. It is good to know that we are still moving forward here in Pembrokeshire!
