Anyone who knows our firm, knows that we take additional qualifications very seriously and we pride ourselves on being ahead of the pack in this area.
So when Darren stated in January to the media that our firms’ goal this year would be to break all previous records in terms of sitting and passing exams – there were some raised eyebrows back at the office!
Nonetheless, Darren racked up another exam pass yesterday in Cardiff when he sat and passed the R03 Personal Taxation paper from the CII (Chartered Insurance Institute).
This has been a phenomenal year for us qualifications wise, with no fewer than six exam passes between us – four of those attributable to Katy.
Darren is now just one solitary examination pass away from the most coveted financial planning qualification of them all – to become recognised as a ‘Fellow’ of the Chartered Insurance Institute. Darren achieved ‘Certified’ status from the Institute of Financial Planning in 2008 and went on to achieve ‘Chartered’ from the CII in 2012. He plans to sit his final exam as soon as business constraints will possibly allow.
In the meantime, Katy is steaming ahead towards her level four Diploma in Financial Planning with just two exams left to achieve.
Darren thanks Lisa for her solid support at home this week whilst he has dedicated considerable time to study and we move towards 2016 feeling very positive about our small firms’ great achievements this year. Well done team T&T!
