On a rather grey Friday morning, we thought it would be nice to share with all of our much treasured clients that Thomas and Thomas was awarded a ‘Highly Commended’ from the judges of the 2017 Schroder UK Platform Awards.
We entered the category for ‘Leading UK Advice Practise’ up against firms all around the UK with less than 10 financial advisers. The process involved a detailed 1000 word submission and supporting documentation all about our charging, client service, processes, compliance and performance.
We made it through that stage and Darren was invited up to a tough interview in London where he presented our firm in more detail to the judges back in July. We were up against far bigger firms with 10 times our employee numbers and assets under management. Undeterred, Darren laid out for the judges the reason why he believed Thomas and Thomas should be recognised as one of the leading lights in the UK – all the way down in lovely Pembrokeshire.
Darren then returned to London for the awards a couple of weeks ago. Thomas and Thomas made it to the top three firms in the UK, awarded second place with an additional bonus of a ‘Highly Commended’ firm logo from the judges.
The UK Platform awards is all about how firms embrace technology to deliver a superior service and cost savings for their clients. It was wonderful to stand out in a different crowd of advisers and to again be able to confidently state that Thomas and Thomas is a little bit special!
